How Much Does Youth Sports Photography on Long Island Cost?
Very honestly the cost runs the gamut from affordable to NBA star level costs depending on your desire’s and the photographer.
I have talked in the past about why you might consider hiring a sports/action photographer for game dayt action shots and I think for some people it is definitely worth looking into. But what is this going to run? I mean you are already paying for league fees, travel, training, uniforms etc. When does it end?
When you google “youth sports photography on Long Island” You will get a few hits. There are a number of photographers in our area that perform this kind of work. Of the top three hits on Long island, all three seemed focused on team portraits and media days. While these are excellent to have, for school sports and organizations these are likely already scheduled. If you are looking for a specific style or to do a studio or location portrait the work looked excellent. The styles were evocative and cohesive. Quite honestly there are some talented photographers here on the island and you would likely be very happy with the results.
None of the top hits seemed to focus on game day action shots. This is not to say contacting them, you wouldn’t be able to set something like that up. Just that it wasn’t the focus of the websites I reviewed.
But on to cost. None of the tope three hits had game day pricing listed for the type of action game day shots I’ve been talking about. Again, you will need to contact them to get pricing. I understand the mindset, each job is specific and will require different skills, travel, equipment and the like. But lets all agree that it would be nice to have a range of costs or at least a starting point listed. If you are looking to spend $150.00 and you call to find out its $400.00, you’ve wasted your time and the photographer’s.
